Volleyball Game Preview: Don Soffer Aventura Barracuda vs. Mater Brickell Academy Bulls

After both having extra time off, the Don Soffer Aventura Barracuda and the Mater Brickell Academy Bulls will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Don Soffer Aventura is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Don Soffer Aventura came up short against Monsignor Pace last Thursday, falling 3-0.

While Don Soffer Aventura was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Monsignor Pace's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-13, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Mater Brickell Academy made easy work of Hialeah Educational Academy on Monday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bulls in their matchups with the Biggie: they've now won three in a row.

Mater Brickell Academy got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-10, 30-28.

Mater Brickell Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Don Soffer Aventura, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Don Soffer Aventura couldn't quite get it done against Mater Brickell Academy when the teams last played back in August as they fell 3-1. Can the Barracuda avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
