Football Recap: Ocean View Comes Up Short

Ocean View had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They received a blow on Thursday as they fell 24-7 to the Fountain Valley Barons. While losing is never fun, the Seahawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 859th, while the Barons are ranked 330th).

Dean Northam threw for 147 yards on 15 of 28 attempts. Christopher Vincent was his top target, picking up 80 receiving yards. On the ground, Trevor Luapo rushed for 128 yards and one TD.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ocean View will host Bolsa Grande at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Fountain Valley, they will take on Esperanza at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th.
