Baseball Game Preview: Cuba Wildcats vs. Belle Tigers

Cuba hasn't had much luck against Belle recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Cuba has given up an average of 8.7 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Cuba's offense. They came up short against Hermann on Friday, falling 13-0. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Cuba saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adam Doyle, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That double marked the first that Doyle has hit this season.

Meanwhile, Belle lost 11-3 to California on Monday.

Belle's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5. As for Cuba, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Cuba couldn't quite get it done against Belle in their previous meeting last Friday as they fell 8-3. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
