Newburgh Free Academy extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 4-2. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Valley Central Vikings 56-14. Considering the Goldbacks have won four games by more than 34 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Valley Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5. The defeat continues a trend for them in their meetings with Newburgh Free Academy: they've now lost seven in a row.

Although Valley Central took the loss, they still got scores from Logan McKenna and Jude Revella.

Looking ahead, Newburgh Free Academy will face off against Proctor at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Goldbacks will be up against the Raiders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.4 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
