Game recap: Maryland Christian High School Football Team beats Lighthouse Christian

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - After trading leads three times, Maryland Christian (Bel Air, Md.) snatched the lead for good when in the third quarter, paving the way for victory over Lighthouse Christian (Springfield, Mo.) 22-14.

The Chargers/Eagles pulled ahead on a touchdown run, and subsequently went into halftime leading 14-13. The Saints took the lead for good with a field goal in the third quarter.

The loss snapped Lighthouse Christian's 4-game winning streak.

LC's Curt Baker played well. The junior running back ran for one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to three on the year.



Maryland Christian entered the contest giving up 26.8 points per game this year. The defense really stepped up, holding the Springfield school well below its season average of 31.6 points scored per game.

A 42-6 Maryland Christian victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
