Soccer Game Preview: North Wilkes vs. Wilkes Central

North Wilkes is 0-10 against Wilkes Central since October of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The Vikings will welcome the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

North Wilkes is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let East Wilkes get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Monday. North Wilkes have beaten East Wilkes the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest East Wilkes has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Wilkes Central's match on Monday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They blew past West Wilkes 5-1. Considering Wilkes Central have won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Wilkes Central's victory bumped their record up to 9-4-2. As for North Wilkes, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-11.

North Wilkes suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Wilkes Central in their previous matchup back in September. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Vikings were down 4-0.
