Basketball Game Preview: Pittsburg Panthers vs. Lin-Wood Lumberjacks

Pittsburg is 7-2 against Lin-Wood since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Pittsburg Panthers will be playing at home against the Lin-Wood Lumberjacks at 5:00 p.m. Pittsburg's defense has only allowed 28.2 points per game this season, so Lin-Wood's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Pittsburg easily dispatched Lisbon on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Pittsburg fell just short of Colebrook Academy by a score of 44-41 on Tuesday. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Lin-Wood came up short against Woodsville on Tuesday, falling 45-25.

Lin-Wood has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Pittsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Pittsburg beat Lin-Wood 40-31 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Will Pittsburg repeat their success, or does Lin-Wood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
