Basketball Recap: Mcclintock Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

McClintock unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Notre Dame Prep Saints by a score of 66-64 on Wednesday. The Chargers lost against the Saints in their previous head to head back in November of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 72-48 score last time.

McClintock lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Iyzaya Soto, who went 8-for-12 en route to 19 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Kyler Frye, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine assists.

Looking ahead, McClintock will challenge Kellis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Notre Dame Prep, they will take on Cactus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
