Soccer Game Preview: Porter vs. Oologah

The Porter Pirates will head out on the road to square off against the Oologah Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Porter's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Verdigris by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, Oologah put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Sequoyah 4-0. Oologah might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by three goals or more this season.

They hit Sequoyah with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Layney Molini (2), Kalley Hogue, and Brynlee Sweet.

Oologah's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three games. As for Porter, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Porter might still be hurting after the 4-1 defeat they got from Oologah in their previous meeting back in March of 2022. Can Porter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
