Volleyball Recap: Quinter Triumphs

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Quinter and St. Francis, and Quinter kept the tradition alive. The Bulldogs walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Indians on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Quinter not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept St. Francis between 17 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17.

Shaylee Baalman paced Quinter's offense, picking up five kills. Baalman got some help from Kendyl Johnson and her 14 assists. Johnson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Quinter's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for St. Francis, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Coincidentally, Quinter and St. Francis will both be playing Golden Plains the next time they take the court. The Indians will host the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
