Owego Free Academy entered their tilt with Waverly on Monday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Wolverines. Those two runs were actually the fewest the River Hawks have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Conlan Taylor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

Owego Free Academy pushed their record up to 11-2-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Waverly, they moved to 5-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
