Football Recap: Weeping Water Skates Past Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lourdes Central Catholic, Weeping Water was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans 60-0. The Indians' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Weeping Water was led to victory by Luke Harms and Tucker Bickford. Harms gained 182 total yards and five touchdowns, while Bickford rushed for 70 yards and three scores. That's the most rushing touchdowns Bickford has posted since back in October of 2024.

Weeping Water's run defense was locked in: Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer could only muster 2.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Jace Mcgill for the heroic effort on defense: he. Weeping Water didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 10.4.

Weeping Water didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Mcgill and Kolby Nash. Mcgill is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least six every time he's taken the field this season.

Weeping Water pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points over those games. As for Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Coming up, Weeping Water will welcome Elmwood-Murdock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer, they will take on Johnson County Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans will be up against the Thunderbirds' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.29 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
