Monomoy has gone a perfect 7-0 against Nantucket recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Sharks are taking a road trip to square off against the Whalers at 4:00 p.m. Monomoy is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

On Thursday, Monomoy was able to grind out a solid victory over Nauset Regional, taking the game 12-7.

Kinsey Lister was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Lister was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, Lilly Furman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. Lexi Totten also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Dennis-Yarmouth Regional hit Nantucket with a five-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Whalers fell just short of the Dolphins by a score of 8-7. The loss continues a trend for the Whalers in their meetings with the Dolphins: they've now lost four in a row.

Monomoy pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Nantucket, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Everything went Monomoy's way against Nantucket when the teams last played back in March of 2023, as Monomoy made off with a 19-0 win. Will the Sharks repeat their success, or do the Whalers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
