Troy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Fort Recovery Indians.
Riley King made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 20 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Amara Erbaugh was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Alexis Ater, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.
