Basketball Recap: Governor Livingston Comes Up Short

Governor Livingston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 70-56 fall against the Oratory Prep Rams. While losing is never fun, the Highlanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 364th, while the Rams are ranked 64th).

Governor Livingston's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Oratory Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Governor Livingston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oratory Prep will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Paramus Catholic on February 28th. One thing working in Paramus Catholic's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
