Tri-County has gone 8-2 against Rosholt recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Penguins will face off against the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. Tri-County is looking for their season's first victory.

Monday just wasn't the day for Tri-County's offense. They lost 15-0 to Almond-Bancroft last Monday.

Meanwhile, Rosholt gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They won by a run and slipped past Gillett 10-9. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

The team relied heavily on Addi Gagas, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those runs marked the first that she has scored this season. Another player making a difference was Sophia Gagas, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Rosholt was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2025.

Tri-County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Rosholt, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Everything went Tri-County's way against Rosholt in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Tri-County made off with a 20-5 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Penguins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
