Winfield faced Ripley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Generals walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Vikings. The win continues a trend for the Generals in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won six in a row.

Winfield easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-14.

Leading Winfield to victory were Macee Shock and Rubie Kauffman. Shock had three digs and three aces, while Kauffman had seven digs and two aces. That's the most aces Kauffman has posted over her last eight contests.

Winfield's victory bumped their record up to 9-4-2. As for Ripley, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
