Volleyball Recap: Richardson Takes a Loss

Richardson suffered their biggest defeat since September 19th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Wylie East Raiders. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2016.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-13, 25-9.

NeVaeh Kent paced Richardson's offense, picking up five kills. Kent got some help from Mariajose Cordero and her five assists.

Richardson has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 22-17 record this season. As for Wylie East, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-18 record this season.

Richardson and Wylie East should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Eagles will take on Irving at 6:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (339 vs. 1049). Meanwhile, Wylie East (ranked 341st) will meet Rowlett (ranked 934th) at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
