Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] took a blow against Bertrand, falling 53-26. Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-10.
Bentley Stubbs put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted three points along with eight boards and three steals. Shelby Jurjens was another key player, putting up five points in addition to nine rebounds and three blocks.
Even though they lost, Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Franklin over Harvard in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Franklin blew Harvard out of the water with a 54-13 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-2.
Franklin found their leader in freshman Lyra Peterman, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Saylor Bonham, who put up ten points and six rebounds.
Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]'s defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Franklin, their victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 32.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Franklin struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
