Softball Game Preview: Forsyth Home Educators Hawks vs. Hickory Grove Christian Lions

The Forsyth Home Educators Hawks will take on the Hickory Grove Christian Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Forsyth Home Educators is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 18 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Ledford on Thursday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 16-2. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Forsyth Home Educators saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madelyn Evans, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave Evans a new career-high. Reagan Clontz also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Hickory Grove Christian lost 19-4 to Metrolina Christian Academy on Friday. The matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Hickory Grove Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Forsyth Home Educators, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
