Basketball Recap: Edinburgh Takes a Loss

Edinburgh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Hauser Jets and fell 70-29. The matchup marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hauser to victory, but perhaps none more so than Stryker Gill, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten assists. That's the most assists Gill has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Ledger Gelfius, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds.

Edinburgh's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Hauser, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Edinburgh didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-51 defeat against Trinity Lutheran on the 21st. Hauser and East Central will round out the year against one another at at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. Hauser is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 69.4 points per game this season.
