Soccer Game Preview: Braswell vs. Guyer

Braswell is 1-7-1 against Guyer since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Braswell Bengals will host the Guyer Wildcats at 7:30 p.m.

Last Friday, Braswell came up short against Hebron and fell 4-2. While losing is never fun, the Bengals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 461st, while the Hawks are ranked 72nd).

Trevor Hill and Eduardo Lopez scored both of Braswell's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Guyer). Their defense stepped up to hand Lewisville a 5-0 shutout on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

This is the second loss in a row for Braswell and nudges their season record down to 5-12. As for Guyer, the victory got them back to even at 7-7-4.
