After a string of four wins, Woodside's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell to the Lake Taylor Titans 48-42. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Woodside's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4. As for Lake Taylor, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Woodside and Lake Taylor should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. Woodside (ranked 81st) will meet Denbigh (ranked 372nd) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodside will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Meanwhile, Lake Taylor will square off against Booker T. Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday up 205 places (83 vs. 288).
