Soccer Game Preview: Pajaro Valley vs. Palma

The Pajaro Valley Grizzlies will face off against the Palma Chieftains at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Pajaro Valley's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Things were looking good for Pajaro Valley after they put the first points on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of King City by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Palma kept a clean sheet against Rancho San Juan on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Trailblazers as they made off with a 6-0 win. The Chieftains might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by three goals or more this season.

Palma is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four matches. As for Pajaro Valley, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 0-1-3 and their overall record down to 1-6-5.

Pajaro Valley beat Palma 3-1 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Will Pajaro Valley repeat their success, or does Palma have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
