Volleyball Recap: Paoli Rams vs. Salem Lions
After flying high against Clarksville last Tuesday, Paoli came back down to earth. The Paoli Rams lost 3-0 to the Salem Lions on Thursday. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-12, 25-9.
Salem was led to victory by Kinley Howey and Peyton Cooke. Howey had five aces, while Cooke had seven digs. The dominant performance gave Howey a new career-high in aces.
Paoli has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Salem, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
Paoli will face off against Loogootee at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Loogootee will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Paoli surely won't give up without a fight. As for Salem, they will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Crawford County at 9:00 a.m.
