Volleyball Recap: D'evelyn Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

After losing to Vista PEAK Prep the last time they met, D'Evelyn decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Bison with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jaguars.

While D'Evelyn won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-22, 25-19.

Leading D'Evelyn to victory were Jake McFaul and Tarin Cavanaugh. McFaul had 11 digs and four assists, while Cavanaugh hit 50% for six kills and 11 aces and four digs. Cavanaugh is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 19 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

They weren't the only good server: D'Evelyn was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since April 2nd.

D'Evelyn pushed their record up to 17-3 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Vista PEAK Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season.

D'Evelyn will venture away from home to take on Denver Waldorf at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Vista PEAK Prep, they are taking a road trip to face off against DSST: College View at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
