Football Recap: Newport Victorious

Newport's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They secured a 6-0 W over the Bellevue Tigers. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won eight in a row.

Jaden Conley threw for 151 yards and one touchdown. Carvonta Roper was his top target, picking up 46 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Kendell Buck-Barber rushed for 92 yards.

The win got Newport back to even at 4-4. As for Bellevue, they moved to 5-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
