Baseball Game Preview: Niagara Badgers vs. Crivitz Wolverines

The Niagara Badgers will take on the Crivitz Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Niagara will be strutting in after a victory while Crivitz will be coming in after a defeat.

While Niagara's win against Wausaukee wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Badgers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Rangers 5-3. The win continues a trend for the Badgers in their matchups with the Rangers: they've now won six in a row.

Gavin Neuens was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Noah Wheeler also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Northland Pines hit Crivitz with a eight-run fourth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolverines came up short against the Eagles, falling 13-5.

Niagara's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Crivitz, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-7.
