The home team had won the previous five meetings between Wilson Hall and Williamsburg Academy, and Wilson Hall kept the tradition alive. The Barons came out on top against the Stallions by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. The Barons haven't had any issues with the Stallions recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Wilson Hall easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-20.

Mary Todd Champion paced Wilson Hall's offense, picking up eight kills. Champion got some help from Natalie Hawkey and her 17 assists. McKinley Bath controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Wilson Hall's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Williamsburg Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Wilson Hall wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Calhoun Academy on the 20th. After both having extra time off, Williamsburg Academy and Virtus Academy will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
