Soccer Game Preview: West Stokes vs. East Surry

West Stokes is on a three-game streak of home losses, and East Surry a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The West Stokes Wildcats will host the East Surry Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

West Stokes fell victim to Forbush and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, West Stokes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 393rd, while Forbush are ranked 106th).

Meanwhile, East Surry lost 7-1 to North Surry on Wednesday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as East Surry were already down 4-0.

West Stokes' loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for East Surry, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13-3.

West Stokes beat East Surry 3-1 in their previous meeting on October 1st. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
