Ayersville came tearing into Friday's matchup with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tinora Rams, sneaking past 3-1. For the Pilots, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Rams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Kendra Waldron spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 20 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 16 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ava Sigler, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniella Coble, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Ayersville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive contests.

Ayersville's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Tinora, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ayersville will face off against Leipsic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tinora, they will take on Crestview at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
