Football Game Preview: Buford Yellow Jackets vs. Central Eagles + How To Watch

The Buford Yellow Jackets will challenge the Central Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Buford has given up an average of 40.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Buford's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against North Central on Friday. They took a blow against the Knights, falling 42-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Central strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 34-27 victory over Cheraw.

Buford better focus on containing Ashten Wilson and Dwayne Louallen Jr as the pair were huge in Central's win. Wilson rushed for 131 yards and one TD, while Louallen Jr rushed for 87 yards and one touchdown.

Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 337 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 179 rushing yards in 11 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Central's defense and their four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Central's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Buford, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Buford was dealt a bruising 47-0 defeat at the hands of Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Yellow Jackets, Tray Wilson (who picked up 160 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and also punched in one rushing score) won't be suiting up this time.
