Recap: Gilman City Hawks vs. Worth County Tigers
The Gilman City Hawks lost against the Worth County Tigers back in February of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Gilman City fell to Worth County 53-48. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Gilman City in their matchups with Worth County: they've now lost three in a row.
Tyler New was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with five assists and five rebounds for Worth County. That makes it seven consecutive games in which New has scored at least 25% of Worth County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Sanders, who scored six points.
Gilman City now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Worth County, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1.
Gilman City will square off against North Harrison at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Worth County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Stanberry at 7:30 p.m. Stanberry is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
