Baseball Recap: Carver Comes Up Short

Carver's last matchup with Abington could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Crusaders lost 10-4 to the Green Wave. The Crusaders have struggled against the Green Wave recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Carver saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Carey, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Alexander Angelo also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Carver's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Abington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carver will square off against Rockland at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Abington, they will challenge East Bridgewater at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Green Wave's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
