Volleyball Game Preview: Centaurus Warriors vs. Fossil Ridge SaberCats

The Centaurus Warriors will square off against the Fossil Ridge SaberCats at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Centaurus' win against Greeley Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since March 13th.

Centaurus was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 27-25, 23-25, 25-14, 15-12.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fossil Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against Pomona on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Fossil Ridge was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-16, 25-20.

Fossil Ridge pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Centaurus, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.
