Softball Recap: Gahr Comes Up Short

Gahr lost against Pacifica back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Gahr Gladiators fell just short of the Pacifica Mariners by a score of 5-4. The Gladiators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bee Perez was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed 5.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits.

At the plate, Hazel Anglo was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Emma Maldonado was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Gahr now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Pacifica, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Gahr will take on Chino Hills in a tournament on Saturday. Gahr is facing Chino Hills at the right time seeing as Chino Hills is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Pacifica, they will be taking part in a tournament against St. Joseph at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pacifica is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
