Volleyball Recap: Sheiann Rosales Key Part of Team Effort in Mustangs Win

West Valley posted their closest victory since August 24, 2024 on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Woodcrest Christian Royals, sneaking past 1-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Saturday.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day West Valley got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14.

West Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sheiann Rosales, who had six aces. Those six aces gave Rosales a new career-high.

The win got West Valley back to even at 2-2. As for Woodcrest Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

West Valley has already played their next match, a 1-0 victory against Lakeside on the 9th. As for Woodcrest Christian, they are taking a road trip to face off against Notre Dame at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
