Volleyball Recap: California School for the Deaf-Riverside Comes Up Short

After flying high against The Grove School on Thursday, California School for the Deaf-Riverside came back down to earth. The Cubs came up short against the Cornerstone Christian Crusaders on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Cubs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Crusaders from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-14, 25-19.

California School for the Deaf-Riverside now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Cornerstone Christian, they pushed their record up to 2-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

California School for the Deaf-Riverside has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Academy for Academic Excellence on the 21st. After both having extra time off, Cornerstone Christian and Bethel Christian will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Crusaders' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
