Sandia won the last time they faced Eldorado and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Matadors came out on top against the Golden Eagles by a score of 4-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Matadors.

The result came thanks to Liliana Villanueva's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aleena Duran, who earned two runs and two stolen bases. Mia Duran also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Sandia's record now sits at 15-9. As for Eldorado, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-11.

Looking ahead, Sandia will welcome La Cueva at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bears will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something the Matadors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eldorado, they are taking a road trip to challenge Santa Fe at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Demons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.13 runs per game on average), something the Golden Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
