Southeast Whitfield County took a 33-point defeat the last time they faced off against Armuchee, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. In a tight game that could have gone either way, the Raiders made off with a 10-9 win over the Indians. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 46-13 victory the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Southeast Whitfield County found their leader in sophomore Anthony Young, who rushed for 171 yards and one touchdown. Those 171 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Young.

Southeast Whitfield County's run defense was locked in: Armuchee could only muster 0.6 yards per carry. The Raiders' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 3.8.

Southeast Whitfield County's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Armuchee, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
