Softball Recap: Richland Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Richland, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They never let the Colleyville Heritage Panthers get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Royals as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Not much got past Stacy Jennings, who gave up just four hits and racked up 15 Ks to keep Colleyville Heritage off the board. Those 15 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Jennings.

On the hitting side, Richland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chauncey Guerrero, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base.

Richland's victory bumped their record up to 13-10-2. As for Colleyville Heritage, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-11-1.

As of now, neither Richland nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
