Basketball Game Preview: Niles North Vikings vs. Ridgewood Rebels

The Niles North Vikings will be taking part in a tournament against the Ridgewood Rebels at 8:30 a.m. on Monday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Friday, Niles North lost to Niles West on the road by a 57-38 margin.

Meanwhile, Ridgewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 55-16 loss at the hands of West Aurora. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 511th, while the Blackhawks are ranked 151st).

Niles North has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Ridgewood, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.
