Baseball Game Preview: Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs vs. Boca Raton Bobcats

The Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs will take on the Boca Raton Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dr. Joaquin Garcia will be strutting in after a win while Boca Raton will be coming in after a defeat.

Boca Raton will be up against a hot Dr. Joaquin Garcia team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Dr. Joaquin Garcia walked away with a 6-2 victory over Forest Hill on Friday. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly four runs.

Brett Terry looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Dr. Joaquin Garcia is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 4-5 otherwise.

At the plate, Eric Flores was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Boca Raton's offense. They came up short against Stoneman Douglas on Thursday, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost eight in a row.

Boca Raton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Dr. Joaquin Garcia, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Everything went Dr. Joaquin Garcia's way against Boca Raton in their previous meeting back in February, as Dr. Joaquin Garcia made off with a 12-1 victory. Will Dr. Joaquin Garcia repeat their success, or does Boca Raton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
