 Mercer came into Wednesday's   game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Jamestown Muskies  on Wednesday and snuck past  3-2. That's more bragging rights for Mercer, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 The team  relied heavily on  Cole Fisher, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 On Jamestown's side,  Cole Ternent made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole four bases while going 2-for-2. Ternent is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games he's  played.
 Mercer's win  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 5-11. As for Jamestown, their loss was  their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-15.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mercer will  take on Sharon at 4:15  p.m.  on Friday. Sharon will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  victory, something Mercer surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jamestown, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Moniteau at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Moniteau's pitching crew has only allowed three  runs per game  this season, so Jamestown's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
