Basketball Recap: Alhambra Drops Season-High Score on Sierra Linda

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alhambra). They skirted past the Sierra Linda Bulldogs 62-59. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Alhambra was led to victory by Jyhari Watkins and Jerome Bolden. Watkins went 6-for-11 en route to 13 points along with seven boards and six steals, while Bolden shot 55% from the field to rack up 17 points and seven rebounds. Watkins is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Ive Uwizera was another key player, shooting 56% from the field on his way to 12 points and eight rebounds.

Alhambra's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Sierra Linda, they now also have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Alhambra will be taking part in a tournament against NFL Yet Academy at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Sierra Linda, they will venture away from home to challenge Youngker at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
