Football Game Preview: Sequoyah Eagles vs. Vinita Hornets + How To Watch

For the first time this season, Sequoyah will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will square off against the Vinita Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Friday, Sequoyah came up short against Mannford and fell 32-22.

Although Sequoyah took the loss, they still got scores from Jake Gilbreath, Mason Weeks, and Luke Rhine.

Meanwhile, Vinita was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 22-7 to Miami.

Sequoyah now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Vinita, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Sequoyah took their win against Vinita when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 30-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
