Baseball Game Preview: Sycamore War Eagles vs. Lebanon Blue Devils

The Sycamore War Eagles will take on the Lebanon Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sycamore's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Lebanon's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Wednesday, Sycamore didn't have quite enough to beat Greenbrier and fell 7-6.

Sycamore saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drake Perry, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI. Jordan Briscoe also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Lebanon had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Wolverines a 1-0 shutout.

Lebanon's victory bumped their record up to 13-8-1. As for Sycamore, their loss dropped their record down to 14-10.
