Softball Recap: Drew Central Takes a Loss

Drew Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rison Wildcats. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 13-3 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Drew Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Rison, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Drew Central will square off against Warren at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Warren is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.4 runs per game this season. As for Rison, they will take on Hampton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
