Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Palisade). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Summit Tigers 42-6 on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.

Easton Embrey was a one-man wrecking crew for Palisade as he rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Embrey got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 72 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Branson Springer, who threw for 77 yards and two touchdowns.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Palisade was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 282 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 156 rushing yards in six consecutive matchups.

Palisade has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Summit, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Palisade will take on Rifle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Palisade is facing Rifle at the right time seeing as Rifle is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Summit, a feisty cat fight will be fought when Tigers challenges Evergreen at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
