Football Recap: Steinert Takes a Loss

Steinert entered their game against Hopewell Valley Central on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Spartans received a blow as they fell 31-13 to the Bulldogs. Having soared to a lofty 41 points in the game before, the Spartans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Steinert's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Hopewell Valley Central, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Steinert will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hamilton at 10:30 a.m. on November 27. As for Hopewell Valley Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hightstown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
